Catacloud takes privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains what personal data we process when you use our website, why we do it, how long we store it, and what rights you have. The policy applies to the processing of personal data through catacloud.no. Processing of personal data in the accounting system itself, which we do on behalf of our customers, is governed by a separate data processing agreement.

What personal information do we collect

We process three types of information:

Information about website usage

Once you have accepted statistical cookies, we collect data on how the website is used — for example, which pages you visit, approximate geographical location, browser type, and referral source. This is done through Google Analytics and is stored in an anonymous or pseudonymised form.

Information you provide yourself

When you fill out a form, send an inquiry, or book a call, we process the information you provide yourself - usually your name, email address, phone number, company, and the content of your message.

Customer Information

For you as a customer, we process information that is necessary to provide the accounting service itself. When we process such information on behalf of the customer, we act as a data processor, and the processing is governed by our data processing agreement — not by this privacy policy. The data processing agreement describes, among other things, which subprocessors we use for the service.

Why we process the information

We process personal data on the following basis:

  • Consent — for statistics and analysis through cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

  • Legitimate interests — to respond to your inquiries and to improve our website.

  • Contract — to provide what you have requested and to fulfill the agreement we have with you as a customer.

  • Legal obligation — when we are required to store information, for example, under accounting laws.

How long do we store the information

Inquiries via the form: up to 2 years after the last contact with you.

  • Google Analytics: up to 14 months.

  • Cookies: in accordance with the Cookiebot statement further down the page.

When the information is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, we delete it or anonymize it.

With whom do we share information (data processors)

To operate the website, we use certain service providers who process personal data on our behalf. We have a data processing agreement with all of these:

  • Framer - operation and hosting of the website

  • Google Analytics 4 - statistics and analysis

  • Cookiebot - handling of cookie consent

  • Microsoft 365 - handling of emails and inquiries through the contact form

Some of these service providers may transfer information to countries outside the EU/EEA. Such transfer only takes place when a legitimate transfer basis is in place, for example, EU standard contractual clauses (SCC). Otherwise, we do not share personal data with third parties, unless we are legally obliged to do so.
